Box 0401 contains photographs documenting the Kenneth A. Gibson mayoral administration. Most of the images are black and white 8" x 10" publicity or public relations photographs of city officials and staff. Subjects include bill signings, ribbon cuttings, other ceremonies, and meetings. There are also head-shots of individuals, including Mayor Kenneth Gibson, Mayor Sharpe James, Dr. Grant Loavenbruck of the Child Services Department, Ralph Luongo of the Water Department, and Donald Payne, among many other council members and city officials.
Eleven of the fourteen folders are individually labeled "J" through "R," indicating that only part of a complete alphabetical series is present. Very few of the photographs are labeled or include captions. Many of the photographs have water damage.
